Visual Dare #9: Risk

Here is this week's Visual Dare! Photo courtesy of Les Petite Choses.

(Instructions below photo.)

Use this photo in one of two ways:

     * incorporate it into your current Work In Progress - literally, or figuratively
     * use it as a 100 word flash fiction to get the brain going in a different creative direction.

Post your flash fiction, using the link tool below! (Those who don't have a blog may post in the comments.)

Happy writing!

  1. Risk. A small word, but one hamstrung with the weight of decision: whether you make the right decision and succeed, or make the wrong decision and face abject failure. It’s not about courage – not walking with lions, jousting with demons or walking an imaginary tightrope – but being prepared to face up to something that is a curved ball which appears in ones comfort zone.

Risk. It’s not a small word at all: it’s a big word. Sometimes it’s not a good word. We have to find the point where seizing the moment does not become reckless.

    It’s all about balance.

    1. Beautifully put! I like how you threaded through the childhood imagination while counterbalancing it with the overall impact of what such a word means. It is all about balance!

Great job! Thanks for participating! :)
